My neighbor, Johan, took some good quality photos on sunday. He was just there for the freestyle event though. I will pass them off to Peter at the field tonight.

Great job Stefan!
What a fantastic plane. And such awesome performance.
The custom landing gear turned out really great too!

Looks like you\'ll be offering up some serious competition this year.

De är limmade med Canopyglue och lossnar inte.

Vi har också alla rodren borttagbara med en lång gångjärns pinne.

Lennart,
Thanks for the info. I\'ll probably use the graupner hinges for the ailerons though I\'ve found some others that look a little bigger which I may use for the rudder. They are for a 40% plane but still no dimensions listed. They are from Chief Aircraft.

I was wondering how you cut the slots to insert the hinges. Depending on the thickness of them will I have to make a very small mortise to insert them? I could figure it out myself and probably end up doing it the hard way but it\'s always best to ask someone who has done it before.

Nice fabrication work you have done on your planes over the winter. The end result looks fabulous. I\'m sure it functions just as well! I\'ll look forward to seeing them this summer.

Mikael,
Thanks for the link!
I would love to see a picture of your YAK 55. How does it fly for you? What motor, electronics, servos etc.?

The first pictures didn\'t show the control surfaces that well. They are not as big as some of the newer planes but they are still quite large. I think it should be able to throw itself around the sky quite well. And if not at least it looks nice and I got it at a price that I couldn\'t refuse. So here are some pis of the control surfaces. Right now I have servos for 2per aileron 2 for the rudder and 1 for each elevator half. I am still debating on adding one more per control surface. Probably will.

Also does anyone know where I can find hinges and control horns for this size of plane? It came with the pin style hinges but I do need to be able to remove the rudder for transport. I haven\'t been able to find any that are large enough.

Thanks Kent,
I guess our job is to fly each plane to the best of its capabilities (and our own capabilities) and not beyond! Thats a great looking 260 you have. I\'ve always liked that Patty Wagstaff color scheme.

Hello,
I am new to this forum and hope that it\'s alright for me to wright in english, but please reply in Swedish because I need the practice. It has been a bit of a struggle for me to learn  I am looking forward to your input on my build. The guys at Helsingborgs model flygklubb have already been very helpful.

The plane: cymodels balsa - ply EXTRA 330L.
Motor: DLE 170 no cans yet
Servos: hitec 7954s so far

And I am very happy to have just upgraded my radio system to a Multiplex Royal Pro from Auotpartner.

Im sure I will have many questions during this build and have enjoyed trying to follow and translate the other threads. Now a first attempt at uploading some pictures.

Extra 330L in the house.
