The FS is the \"old\"  2.4GHz receiver and the HS it the \"new\" 2.4 GHz receiver which has the option of the first 6 channels been operated in a \"High Speed\" mode. This will only work on digital servos. A 7mS pulse instead of 14 mS pulse.
The gold dot was added in between the antennae of the later versions of the FS receiver. A modification was done to address the high temperature issue with the early versions of the FS receiver which could lock out at temperatures above 70 deg C.
